Hello Gr. 9 & New Students & Families,

On behalf of the students and staff, I would like to welcome you to our Canterbury High School learning community. You are about to become part of a school with a rich tradition of excellence where you will have an opportunity to challenge yourself and to set and achieve your goals. The next four years will be as exciting as you make them! Much will be expected from you - achieving your potential will be of the utmost importance.

Starting high school is a milestone in your life; we want you to know that supports are available.  We are here to answer questions you might have on items such as subjects, timetables, sports, clubs, etc. To this end, we are inviting you to come to Canterbury High School on Thursday, August 28th at 12:00 pm. A letter from our LINK Crew is attached to this letter and will provide additional details of the activities on August 28th. Please note that if your parent/guardian is picking you up, please let them know that this event will end around 3:30 pm.

On August 28th, we would like to meet all Grade 9 and new students in our main gym. Afterwards, current students, through the support of CHS Student Council Co-presidents and our Link Crew, are going to tour the school with you to highlight various locations and important rooms. You will also receive your timetable so that you are up and running for the first day of school. Please bring a lock for your assigned locker. We are excited about having you as a part of our tradition. We encourage you to attend!
